Available1988 Royal Canadian Mint proof set with the Saint-Maurice Ironworks silver dollar.
The Royal Canadian Mint's proof set for 1988, seven coins in the leatherette book case with red satin lining. The commemorative dollar marks two hundred and fifty years of the Saint-Maurice ironworks near Trois-Rivieres, the first heavy industry in Canada, and shows two ironworkers at the anvil. It is .500 fine silver at 23.33 grams, an actual silver weight of 0.375 troy ounce.
The set carries two dollar coins: the silver commemorative and the aureate loon, with cent, five, ten, twenty-five and fifty cents completing the tray. All are struck as proofs with frosted devices against mirror fields.
The specification card and the mint's certificate are present, and the outer pouch is intact.
