1961 John F. Kennedy Inauguration Box Seat Ticket Stand 7 Box 2 Row 4 Seat 15

A full, unused reserved-seat ticket to the inaugural parade of 20 January 1961, printed by the Globe Ticket Company of Philadelphia. The centre panel carries the Great Seal in blue over INAUGURATION of the PRESIDENT and the VICE-PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA, WASHINGTON, D.C., JANUARY 20, 1961, Admit One. Both end stubs are still attached, so the ticket was never torn at the gate. The stubs read BOX SEAT, WEST SIDE OF STAND 7, and locate it at Lafayette Park between Madison and Jackson Place, N.W., opposite the White House. Box 2, row 4, seat 15, total price $25.00 - the top of the price range that day, and a stand on the far side of the avenue from the President's reviewing box. The reverse is the blue lithographed Capitol panorama used across the 1961 series, with portraits of Kennedy and Johnson flanking the year. Condition: please see the photographs.
