Theodore Roosevelt Club of Massachusetts Enameled Lapel Stud
Item no. X1631
$250
AvailableRed and white enameled lapel stud for The Roosevelt Club of Massachusetts, with a TR monogram at the centre.
An enameled lapel stud made for The Roosevelt Club of Massachusetts. The brass face is worked in deep red and white enamel, with THE ROOSEVELT CLUB and MASS. around a white centre carrying the initials TR. The original button-style stud attachment is on the reverse.
The Roosevelt Club of Massachusetts was an organized Republican club built around Roosevelt and his politics, active through his years in office and carrying on afterwards in support of his legacy.
The club itself is well documented. This particular enameled stud is not; examples come up only occasionally. The enamel is strong in both colours and a good deal of the gilt finish is still there, with the light wear and surface marks a worn piece of political jewelry collects.
