1924 Spencer Kellogg and Sons Commemorative Medal Whitehead and Hoag Bronze

A large bronze table medal struck for Spencer Kellogg and Sons, Inc., the Buffalo linseed oil processor.
The obverse is a high-relief portrait of the founder, with SPENCER KELLOGG AND SONS, INC. curved above and SPENCER KELLOGG / FOUNDER / JUNE 16th 1851 - NOVEMBER 14th 1922 below the truncation. It is signed WHITEHEAD-HOAG on the edge of the bust.
The reverse carries the dedication inside a laurel wreath: IN COMMEMORATION OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ENTRANCE OF THE KELLOGG FAMILY INTO THE LINSEED OIL INDUSTRY AND THE THIRTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF THIS COMPANY, dated 1924, above the company trademark.
Two anniversaries in one inscription: the family trade reaches back to 1824, the incorporated firm only to 1894.
