An 1888 Democratic campaign lapel stud for Grover Cleveland and Allen G. Thurman, coppered brass with enamel at about 17 mm.
White enamel with ornament above, blue enamel with a matching device below, and CLEVELAND AND THURMAN across a red bar through the center. The whole flag in seventeen millimeters.
Cleveland ran this one as the sitting president and lost it, out polling Benjamin Harrison nationally and losing his own New York, and with it the electoral college.
