A copper American eagle is perched over a blue enamel field, with HARRISON across a red enamel bar and the date on white below. Nothing about it is subtle, which was the point on a crowded street.
Harrison, the Republican nominee, took the electoral college from the sitting president while losing the national popular vote. Colored enamel work of this size is the most eye catching thing the 1888 campaign produced and the hardest to find undamaged.
