1885 Political Medal DeWitt Unlisted

An 1885 political medal, unlisted in DeWitt. 1885 sits between campaigns, and that is part of what makes an unlisted piece from the year worth a look. The heavy medalet production came in the even years. What was struck in the odd years was made for inaugurations, anniversaries, memorials and the ordinary civic occasions that filled the gap between canvasses, in far smaller numbers and with far less written about it since. DeWitt did not assign this one a number.
